October 17 – SHB marked its 40th anniversary with another significant achievement: the official launch of its strategic overseas production base, the SHB Malaysia Plant, in the Senai Airport City Free Zone, Johor. This milestone not only represents a major step in SHB’s global strategy but also stands as a tribute to four decades of dedication and progress.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Mr. Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade & Industry Malaysia, and Mr. Lee Ting Han, Member of the Johor State Executive Council, alongside SHB Chairman Mr. Wang Shangsheng and the company’s management team.

With a total planned investment of RMB 600 million, this modern facility serves as a key production base in SHB’s overseas expansion. It symbolizes SHB’s transition from “Made in China” to “Intelligent Manufacturing for the World,” strengthening its role as an international supplier to global automotive brands.

Beyond production scale, the plant represents a bridge for culture and talent. While bringing four decades of manufacturing expertise and automation technology from China, SHB aims not to simply “copy and paste,” but to deeply engage with Malaysian culture and grow together with local talent. The vision is to build an open platform for shared learning, cultural exchange, and professional development.

The Malaysia plant is a highly automated, digitalized, and intelligent manufacturing base. Equipped with advanced smart production lines, fully automated inspection systems, and digital management solutions, it is projected to achieve annual sales of RMB 2.5 billion within five years after reaching full capacity.

Annual Capacity: 3 million wiper motor systems & 20 million seat motors

Key Clients: Global automotive manufacturers and component suppliers including BMW, Volkswagen, General Motors, Lear, Faurecia, and Adient

The plant will significantly enhance SHB’s global supply chain capabilities while driving growth for over a hundred local Malaysian suppliers, fostering mutual success.
